Die Mandarinente | Die Mandarinente ist eine Art aus der Familie der Entenvögel, die ursprünglich in Ostasien beheimatet ist. Ihr natürliches Verbreitungsgebiet erstreckt sich über Teile Nordostchinas, das Amurgebiet und Japan. In Europa ist die Mandarinente keine einheimische Art. Sie wurde bereits im 18. Jahrhundert als Ziervogel eingeführt und primär in Parkanlagen gehalten. Die heute in vielen europäischen Ländern, darunter Großbritannien, Deutschland und den Niederlanden, freilebenden Populationen gehen auf entflogene Vögel aus Gefangenschaftshaltung zurück. Diese als Neozoen bezeichneten Populationen haben sich erfolgreich etabliert und sind aufgrund ihrer Kälteunempfindlichkeit und Ortstreue vielerorts ganzjährig zu beobachten. - Realized with Pictrs.com
